HAF Holiday Activities
SUMMER HOLIDAYS 2026
Active Barnsley will be running a Healthy Holidays Camp at Shaw Lane Sports Club in the Summer holidays. The Camp is aimed at Children who are eligible for free school meals. The camp is funded by Barnsley Council as part of the Holiday Activities & Food Programme 2026.
The club will provide each child with a free hot or cold meal each day which they can choose on arrival. Throughout the day, a wide variety of fun activities including multi-sports, arts & crafts, and games will be available for each child to take part in.
Please Note: The multi sport activities will take place outside on grass (weather provided), so it is important for attendees to bring footwear for both outdoor and indoor use, as well as relevant clothing and a sports bottle.
Venue: Shaw Lane Sports Club, Shaw Lane, Barnsley S70 6HZ
Dates: Weekdays 27th July to August 21st (excluding Wednesday July 29th)
Time: 9am - 3pm
For: Children aged 7 - 14 years
All places are strictly by pre-booking only, there will be no walk-up availability on the day. When making a booking for a child that is eligible for means tested free school meals, your child's name, date of birth and address must exactly match the records held by Barnsley Council. Please do not use abbreviated forenames.

A booking is only confirmed once you receive a confirmation email.
Unfortunately we are not able to offer additional support to children during our sessions. Please contact Barnsley MBC for suitable provision if your child requires any additional support.
There will be a free daily lunch provided, with the choice of a hot or cold option. The menu will be available to view on the morning of each session. Unfortunately we are not able to cater for individual dietary requirements.
