EASTER HOLIDAYS 2024

Active Barnsley will again be running a Healthy Holidays Club at Shaw Lane Sports Club in the Easter holidays. This is part of the Holiday Activities & Food Programme 2024, funded by Barnsley Council, which aims to provide children that are eligible for means tested free school meals, with free activities and a lunch during the school holidays.

The club will provide a wide variety of fun activities each day, with a focus on multi-sports, and plenty of arts, crafts and games options mixed in.

Venue: Shaw Lane Sports Club, Shaw Lane, Barnsley S70 6HZ

Dates: Mon 25th to Thurs 28th March & Tues 2nd to Fri 5th April 2024

Time: 9am - 3pm

For: Children aged 7 - 14 years

All places are strictly by pre-booking only, there will be no walk-up availability on the day.

Unfortunately we are not able to offer additional support to children during our sessions. Please contact Barnsley MBC for suitable provision if your child requires any additional support.

There will be a free daily lunch provided, with the choice of a hot or cold option. The menu will be available to view on the morning of each session. Unfortunately we are not able to cater for individual dietary requirements.

Booking is now open, through the Barnsley MBC Healthy Holidays website

When making a booking for a child that is eligible for means tested free school meals, your child's name, date of birth and address must exactly match the records held by Barnsley Council. Please do not use abbreviated forenames as you are likely to receive a pending email rather than a confirmation.

A booking is only confirmed if you receive a confirmation email.

Use the Location filter on the right hand side of the website and select ‘Shaw Lane Sports Club’.
